“Children are human beings to whom respect is due, superior to us by reason of their innocence and of the greater possibilities of their future..”
– Maria Montessori
All children deserve to have safe learning experiences that are rich in wonder and excitement! When barriers are created that impede wonder and awe, I know we all still have work to do.
Life has taught me:
Expressing gratitude helps us to be better people. It gives us a deeper appreciation as we acknowledge the goodness around us. Gratitude connects us to something larger than ourselves and helps us to support others. It is also a choice that can be difficult at times, but well worth the effort.
Bet you didn’t know:
Halloween is my favorite holiday. Oyster po-boys are my comfort foods! I learned to love all things football while sitting next to my grandfather on Saturday nights listening to LSU Tiger football on the radio and watching the Saints after church on Sunday. We take our grandchildren fishing because my other grandpa took me and my siblings every chance he could. Making memories… that’s important to me.
